This post celebrates the women in my life. I think we women have it best. I don't have to go into a long explanation - you all know it. We share, we laugh, we commiserate, we're there for each other.
We can go to a quilt retreat and spend three days together, talking 24/7 and still come home as friends. If we get lost enroute to said retreat, we don't fight about which way to go, or whose GPS got us lost, it's just an opportunity to find a new place to shop!
I'm lucky enough to have several groups of women in my life - the Fore Shore Quilters, the Gathered Threads, who have recently welcomed me to their group, and my high school BFFs, who are amazingly still my friends after over 30 years.
Recently I've had a need for a new posse, and here they are - the Chemo Gals! I'm the one with the tubes in my arm. Surrounding me are Pam of Pam's Pages , Dianne and Krista of Poppyprint
All three ladies are very talented quilters, with seemingly endless energy. They all produce spectacular quilts and other crafty projects.
For a recent birthday - which shall go numberless this year - I was lucky enough to receive some amazing handmade gifts. From Krista, this amazing little zippy pouch. Notice the skulls. I L-O-V-E skulls. Krista's fabric selections are always amazing. Check out her blog if you haven't already.
From Dianne, I received this great thread catcher. Dianne always knows the best gifts to give. Though there are no skulls showing, there were a few tucked inside.
Cheers ladies!! Thanks for all you do!!
Positively yours, Rebecca Jane
