Finally Final

Look at me, posting twice in one day.  Will wonders ever cease !!

Today was a banner day - we got our final permit for Mayne!  YAHOOOOOO!   The specter of the in-spector ceases to loom over us.

noooo......DRINK the champagne, don't BREAK the champagne!

But wait, the specter still hovers.

S built a pump house and wood storage at the back of the property.  The pump house is part of our overall rain water system, allowing us to use rain water for gardening, washing cars or whatever we want, so we aren't taxing our community well water.

It was built within the confines of the by-laws, or code, or whatever determines where and what you can build. While still a work in progress, it's looking pretty good.

 Pump House
Log Storage (also good for hiding our neighbours shed)
However, our neighbour doesn't think it looks so good, and has complained to the inspectors.  By neighbour, I mean the fellow who owns the land next door.  For those who have been here, it's the property with the wood storage, orange tarp and lots of trees.  No one lives there - there's no house.  We've been interested in the property, and we just offered to buy the property, so he didn't have to look at our pump house, but he declined.  Up til now, we've been friendly neighbours, guess that's history.  Too bad, over one little pump house.

So, the specter looms again.

Stay tuned for the results.

  1. Cute pump house. I would wait until you get the inspector to sign off on it then paint it all over like a VW bus in the 60s and add several windmill whirligigs to the roof. Show him how to be a good neighbour. ha!!
